Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), UN-Habitat, and the European Commission (EC) have begun a project entitled Promoting Low Emission Urban Development Strategies in Emerging Economy Countries. This project will help cities to lower their carbon emissions and will run from March 1st, 2012 to August 31st, 2015.
